Handwriting

Exams are over and wrists are sore as a result of using too much tension.

To check how much extra effort you are using, write your name on a blank piece of paper. Turn the page over. If you can feel the imprint of the letters, you are pressing too hard on the paper with the pen.

Think of writing across the page rather than down into it. Practise by lightly moving the pen up and down on the page using the finger joints. Now move the pen side to side using the wrist joints. Combine the two to lightly draw circles across the page.

With a little bit of practice you will be able to write legibly for longer without strain.
